Fans Storm WWE's Social Media Pages over Punk Plus Daniel Bryan News

As if all the publicity over the CM Punk walkout and fan chants at last night’s WWE NXT taping weren’t enough, WWE is also contending with angry fans on their social media platforms. We’ve received a TON of email this week about fans hijacking WWE Facebook pages with angry messages about Punk. I took a quick look at the WWE and WWE Network Facebook pages this morning and just about every topic created by the company has been overwhelmed by pro-CM Punk fans. Considering WWE has cultivated a system where they direct their fans to be socially interactive, this has to be driving people nuts.
Equally as nutty, or perhaps genius in a twisted way, is that nearly 100,000 fans have petitioned the White House online to demand that Daniel Bryan receive a WWE World Heavyweight championship match at Wrestlemania 30. Seriously, you can’t make this up. I wonder what WWE management thinks about this one.
UPDATE
The petition online on the White House’s website pushing that Daniel Bryan receive a WWE World Heavyweight championship shot at Wrestlemania 30 has been taken down by the website.
The link to the petition now reads:
Thanks for your interest in We the People, a new tool on WhiteHouse.gov that allows all Americans to ask the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country.
The petition you are trying to access has been removed from the site under our Moderation Policy because it is in violation of our Terms of Participation.
While you can’t sign this petition, there may be other petitions on We the People on a similar issue that you’d like to add your name to. Or, you can create your own petition.
The petition had reached in the area of 100,000 signatures since it had been launched and pushed via social media by Bryan fans.
